Luxury bus going from Mumbai to Jalna burnt to ashes on Samriddhi Highway, no one got scratched

A private luxury bus going from Mumbai to Jalna caught fire early in the morning on Samriddhi Highway and was completely burnt to ashes. All the 12 passengers on board the bus were taken out safely, due to which a major accident was averted.

Mumbai: A private luxury bus going from Mumbai to Jalna caught fire on Samriddhi Highway and was burnt to ashes. This accident happened this morning. There were 12 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. The driver and staff together saved everyone. This accident happened near Nagpur Lane on the highway at around 3 am. As soon as the fire broke out, driver Hussain Syed immediately stopped the bus and took out all the people traveling in the bus.

Within no time the fire engulfed the entire bus and the bus was completely burnt to ashes. Highway police and toll plaza officials reached the spot and extinguished the fire. Ambulance and rescue teams were also present on the spot, but fortunately no one was injured in this accident.

Due to the accident, traffic on the route was stopped for a while, but it was soon resumed. The cause of the fire has not been clear yet. By the way, many such incidents in the last one week are raising concerns. 20 people were killed in an accident in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Soon after, a double-decker sleeper bus carrying 70 passengers from Delhi caught fire near Indore on the Agra-Lucknow National Highway. However, all the passengers were saved by the bus staff in that incident.
