Lung Cancer Rising Among Young Indians: Lung cancer means lung cancer is no longer limited to the elderly. According to a new report, now people under 50 years of age are also falling in a large number of people in India. A study conducted by Lung Cancer Foundation of India has revealed that about 21 percent of Lung cancer patients are under 50 years of age, some are less than 30 years old. This figure is very frightened because earlier it was considered to be the disease of the elderly.
Lung cancer is a serious disease, but if its symptoms are identified in time and the lifestyle is improved, then it can be avoided to a great extent. Especially the youth need to be cautious now because this disease is no longer coming after seeing age. Only clean air, right catering and healthy lifestyle can keep the lungs safe.
Lung Cancer Risk Risk Factor
Air pollution is being told the biggest reason behind the increasing cases of this disease. According to the World Health Organization i.e. WHO, 91 percent of the world’s population lives in areas where the air is worse than the laid standards of WHO. Micro particles like PM 2.5 present in this dirty air go directly into our lungs and harm them. These particles come out of things like power plants, vehicles smoke, industries, garbage burning. Scientists say that if you are breathing in the area of 20 mg PM 2.5, then its effect is as much as a cigarette smoking. And if this quantity is 200 mg, then 10 cigarettes are lost.
Threat from smoke and pasic smoking
- Apart from pollution, smoking, passive smoking (ie the effect of smoke coming out of cigarettes of others), cooking on wood or coal, contact with chemicals and weak immunity also cause this disease. Especially in cities where air pollution levels are very high, there are rapid cases of lung cancer.
- People who do not smoke feel that they cannot get lung cancer, but it is not so. Passive smoking is equally dangerous. When cigarette smoke goes to the body of another person sitting nearby, his lungs also have an effect.
- This is more harmful for children because their immune system is weak. Such children also increase the risk of getting asthma, pneumonia, cough and even lung cancer.
Initial symptoms of lung cancer identification
It is very important to identify lung cancer quickly, but early symptoms look like common diseases, so people often ignore it. Constant cough, bleeding in cough, change in voice or heaviness, breathlessness, fatigue and weight loss without trying can all be signs of lung cancer. If these symptoms persist for a long time, then a doctor must be examined.
Lung required measures to avoid cancer
To avoid lung cancer, it is important that we change the environment and lifestyle around us. First of all, leave smoking and tobacco consumption completely. If someone smokes in the house, keep the children away from them. Include fresh fruits and green vegetables in the food so that the immunity is strong. Regular breathing exercises and use masks or scarves while exiting polluted areas. Use of air purifiers in the house can also be beneficial.
