Luka Jovic’s two goals propelled AC Milan to the Coppa Italia final, defeating Inter 3-0 and achieving a 4-1 aggregate win at San Siro.

Serie A leaders Inter had promising opportunities in the first half. Federico Dimarco hit the crossbar, while Mehdi Taremi set up Lautaro Martinez, who missed from close range. Despite these chances, it was Milan who took the lead in the 36th minute through Jovic’s header from Alex Jimenez’s cross.
Jovic added another goal shortly after halftime, capitalising on Theo Hernandez’s corner. This made him the first Milan player since Rafael Leao in September 2022 to score multiple goals in a Milan derby. The Rossoneri have now avoided defeat in their last five encounters with Inter across all competitions.
Inter attempted to fight back midway through the second half. Mike Maignan made a crucial save to stop Stefan de Vrij’s accurate header. However, Milan sealed their victory five minutes before the end when Rafael Leao assisted Reijnders, who calmly scored past Josep Martinez.
Milan reached their first Coppa Italia final since 2018 and aim to win it for only the third time in 50 years, with their last triumph in 2003. Meanwhile, Inter faced consecutive losses for the first time since March/April 2023, ending their hopes of securing a treble this season.
