PM Modi paid tribute to Mukherjee, Deendayal and Vajpayee by inaugurating the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow. Explaining the importance of good governance on Atal Jayanti, he said that the real measure of development is the smile of the last person.
Lucknow/New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow on Thursday 25 December. On this occasion, he unveiled 65 feet high statues of Jan Sangh founder Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay and Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid floral tributes. PM Modi said, today on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the celebration of good governance is also being remembered. He said that for a long time in the country, only slogans like ‘Garibi Hatao’ were considered as governance, but Atal ji demonstrated good governance on the ground.
Indian law is fully implemented in Jammu and Kashmir today
During his address, the Prime Minister recalled the contribution of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and said that he worked to give a decisive direction to the country. Dr. Mukherjee had completely rejected the ‘two laws, two marks and two heads’, but it was kept in force in Jammu and Kashmir even after independence. This was a major challenge to the unity and integrity of India. PM Modi further said, our government got the opportunity to remove Article 370 and today the Constitution of India is fully applicable in Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Modi said, the real measure of India’s progress is not the development figures but the smile on the face of the person standing in the last row. Talking about Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s philosophy of Integral Humanism, he said that balance of body, mind, intellect and soul – all are necessary for development.
