With ranking points and prize money on offer, the event is expected to deliver competitive action throughout the weekend. Matches will be spread across consecutive days, keeping the focus firmly on sustained performance.
The tournament has attracted registrations across a wide range of categories. The Under-14 and Under-18 sections will feature eight players each, while the men’s open division, covering beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, has drawn a combined total of 24 participants.
In the women’s open category, eight players are set to compete, alongside four players in the women’s 35+ category. The men’s 45+ division has also seen strong interest, with eight entries confirmed.
The total number of participants for the event stands at over 50, reflecting the growing interest in competitive pickleball in the region. While there are no standout favourites on paper, players across categories are considered to be of a similar competitive level, setting the stage for closely contested matches.
The Lucknow Open will feature a total prize pool of Rs. 50,000, with prize money distributed across all categories. The incentives, combined with ranking points, are expected to add further intensity to the competition.
With a balanced field, multiple age groups, and two full days of scheduled play, the Lucknow Open is set to provide a strong platform for emerging and experienced players alike when action begins on January 31.
