The 19th National Jamboree is being held in Lucknow from 23–29 November. On the first day there will be registration, inauguration rehearsal, Jamboree Hospital and inauguration of blood donation camp. Organized on the theme “Strong Youth, Developed India”, this program is a symbol of youth skills and unity.
Lucknow. The 19th National Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides is starting in Lucknow from Sunday. After 61 years, a seven-day Diamond Jubilee Jamboree is being organized from 23 to 29 November. Lucknow will remain the global center of scouting and guiding for the next seven days. Scouts and guides from different states of the country will arrive to participate in the camp from November 23. The official inauguration of the jamboree will take place on November 24. Along with registration, programs like rehearsal of the inauguration ceremony, inauguration of Jamboree Hospital and blood donation camp will be organized on Sunday.
Registration and rehearsal of Scouts and Guides on the first day
Registration of thousands of scouts and guides from across the country will begin at 10 am on November 23. After this everyone will select their color party and band and rehearse for the opening ceremony. Lunch time is scheduled from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm. After the meal there will be a second rehearsal for the opening ceremony.
A meeting of group leaders will be held at 5:30 pm, in which the day’s program and further outline will be discussed. After this, wing-wise competitions will begin in which the scouts will showcase their creativity and skills. There will be a meeting of Jamboree staff and sub-camp heads at 6:30 pm. Camp fire will be organized at 8:30 pm followed by dinner at 7:30 pm. The first day’s events will conclude with “Lights Off” at 10 pm.
Inauguration of Jamboree Hospital and Blood Donation Camp
On the first day, Jamboree Hospital and Blood Donation Camp will be inaugurated at 1 pm. This will include all scouts and guides. Scouts will fulfill social responsibility by voluntarily participating in the blood donation camp. The Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamboree is not just a platform for skill development but focuses on environmental conservation, leadership building and community service.
