Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inspected the entire preparations for the 19th Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamboree. This event is going to be held from 23rd to 29th November at Defense Expo Ground, Vrindavan Colony. The special thing is that after 61 years, UP is hosting this big Diamond Jubilee Jamboree, which is a very special occasion for the state. A large complex is being prepared for the Jamboree spread over 300 acres, where there will be accommodation and food arrangements for 32,000 participants and 3,000 staff. Representatives from many Asian countries including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Afghanistan will also attend the event, making it even more important.
CM Yogi gave strict instructions
At the time of inspection, the CM clearly told the officials that ‘every system should be world class and there should not be any kind of negligence.’ He stressed on improving all preparations like accommodation, cleanliness, security, food, health facilities and digital connectivity. CM also saw the demo of Sky Cycling and Zipline on the spot and appreciated it. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, State Chief Commissioner Prabhat Kumar and DM Visakh were present with him.
Large scale arrangements in Jamboree
16 German hangars, 600 water tanks, 30 RO points and more than 2,200 toilets are being built in the Jamboree complex. 100 kitchens and four big central kitchens are being prepared for food, which will provide food to thousands of people every day. A 3,500 capacity conference hall, a temporary police station and 11 fire tenders are also being set up for security. Cadets from all over the country will experience the culture and delicious cuisine of UP with the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. This event is also strengthening the local economy of Lucknow, as thousands of labourers, contractors and small traders are getting work.
Exhibition area will be the most special attraction
A big exhibition area is being built in the Jamboree to showcase the culture, technology and art of UP. There will be more than 100 stalls here, which include ODOP, Robotics, Electronics display and NEDA’s Solar Pavilion. People will also get to see the cultural glimpse of other areas including Planetarium, AI Zone and Varanasi-Bundelkhand.
Strong network facility for cadets
In view of the presence of thousands of participants, a separate mobile tower is being installed at the venue to avoid mobile network problems. This step is also important because it will enable the cadets to remain in constant touch with their families and get immediate help in case of any emergency.
