Lucknow Murder Case: In Lucknow, a daughter-in-law along with her tenant lover murdered her mother-in-law. The mother-in-law opposed their illicit relationship. The matter came to light when the grandson returned home, after which the police arrested both of them.
Lucknow: The end of illicit relationships is often horrifying. Many times such relationships end in murder. A similar heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where a daughter-in-law, along with her lover, killed her own mother-in-law.
- Had a happy family with three children. Husband Tridesh used to work hard day and night to provide a good life to his family, due to which he was often unable to come home. The family lived in a two-storey house, the upper part of which was given on rent. In the absence of her husband, wife Ranjana fell in love with the young man who lived on rent. It became common between the two to meet every day. When the mother-in-law came to know about this, she tried to convince her daughter-in-law to save her son’s house. But the daughter-in-law was so upset with her mother-in-law’s interference that she along with her lover ended their story.
Had illicit relationship with a tenant youth
Tridesh and Ranjana have three children. Tridesh’s 69 year old mother Nirmala Devi also lived with him. The family lived on the ground floor of a two-storey house in Lucknow, while the upper floor was given on rent. Tridesh was often out of the house for work. Taking advantage of this, Ranjana had illicit relations with tenant Rajan. Rajan was much younger than Ranjana in age, but their relationship deepened.

- Many times Tridesh was not able to come home for weeks due to work. Meanwhile, as soon as the children went to school, Ranjana would go straight upstairs to tenant Rajan’s room. This had become his daily routine. This thing could not be hidden from the eyes of mother-in-law Nirmala Devi. Concerned about the future of her son’s settled house and grandchildren, Nirmala Devi tried to convince her daughter-in-law. However, Tridesh also had some doubts. But as soon as Nirmala Devi interrupted her daughter-in-law, she and her lover became enemies of her mother-in-law.
- Together they tied Nirmala Devi’s hands and legs and strangulated her to death. When her grandson returned home early after giving his exams, he found his grandmother tied in the room. Seeing this he got scared and immediately called his father. Tridesh informed the police and immediately ran towards the house. Tridesh told the police who reached the spot that his wife and tenant together had murdered the mother because she had come in the way of their illicit relationship.
- Based on the complaint, the police arrested Ranjana and Rajan. During interrogation, both of them confessed to their crime and narrated the entire horrifying story of the murder. It was revealed that before the murder, both of them had tortured their mother-in-law a lot. They tied Nirmala Devi’s hands and legs, stuffed a cloth in her mouth and then started romancing in front of her. In this way, after tormenting her, they took the life of the elderly woman. Now the murderer daughter-in-law and her lover are behind the bars.
