LPG Prices In India: In major good news for Indian citizens, the prices of cooking gas are reduced in the range of Rs 4.5 to Rs 6.5 from November 1, 2025, onward in 19 kg cylinders.
However, the 14.2 kg standard LPG prices have remained unchanged since April 2025. Under 19 kg cylinders, the sharpest cut was seen in Kolkata and the lowest cut in Chennai.

From November 1st onward, the price of 19 kg per cylinder is reduced by Rs 5 to Rs 1,590.5 compared to Rs 1,595.5 per cylinder of the previous month.
LPG Prices In Kolkata:
In this city, the LPG price in 19 kg is lowered by Rs 6.5 to Rs 1,694 per cylinder in November, as against October month’s price of Rs 1,700.5 per cylinder.
LPG Prices In Mumbai:
In the financial hub of India, the LPG price is trimmed by Rs 5 to Rs 1,542 per cylinder compared to the previous month’s Rs 1,547 per cylinder.
LPG Prices In Chennai:
In this metro city, 19 kg of LPG is going to be at Rs 1,750 for the month of November, which is cheaper by Rs 4.5 from October. Last month, the price stood at Rs 1,754.5 per cylinder.
The latest cut in 19 kg LPGs comes after a sharp hike in October. Last month, the 19 kg cylinder price was hiked by Rs 15.5 each in Delhi and Mumbai, while the price was increased by Rs 16.5 each in Kolkata and Chennai.

The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders has remained unchanged since April 2025 and November saw a similar trend. That being said, the 14.2 kg LPG price stood at Rs 853 in Delhi, at Rs 879 in Kolkata, at Rs 852.50 in Mumbai, and at Rs 868.50 in Chennai.
How To Get New Domestic 14.2 kg and 5 kg LPG Cylinders At Indian Oil?
As per main website of Indian Oil, here’s what citizens need to know:
Indane is available for domestic use generally in 14.2 Kg capacity cylinders and is also available in 5 Kg capacity cylinders in a select few cities, primarily in hilly / rural areas in the country.
New LPG Connections are now available on demand across the country. In case you do not have an LPG connection from any of the PSU Oil Companies in your household and you have a separate cooking area in your house you can have an Indane domestic connection in your household. For a domestic connection, you can visit nearest Indane distributor serving in your area and register for the connection with a valid proof of identity and residence. One of the following documents can be produced for proof of residence: –
- Ration Card
- Electricity Bill
- Telephone Bill
- Passport
- Employer’s Certificate
- Flat allotment / possession letter
- House registration papers
- LIC policy
- Voter’s Identity Card
- Rent Receipt
- PAN card issued by the Income Tax department
- Driving License

On registration, the distributor will send you an intimation letter through registered post. You need to carry the letter and the envelope to the distributor to avail the connection
The Indane connection will be released to you immediately. However before release of an LPG connection, you should be in possession of an ISI mark Hotplate conforming to IS:4246 and a Suraksha LPG hose confirming to IS:9573 (Type IV), so that after release of your Indane connection, it may be installed at your residence immediately.
