LPG booking app beats ChatGPT to become most downloaded in India

New Delhi: A government utility app has moved to the top of the download charts as LPG refill delays continue to affect several cities. The IndianOil ONE application is currently the most downloaded free app on the Google Play Store, pushing the AI tool ChatGPT to the second spot.

Data from the Play Store shows that the IndianOil ONE app now holds the number one position with a rating of 4.4. ChatGPT, which had been leading the chart earlier, is now placed second with a rating of 4.6. The change in rankings comes at a time when many consumers are reporting delays in LPG cylinder refills in different parts of the country.

Because LPG cylinders are used for everyday cooking in most households, any delay in refills quickly affects daily routines. As a result, many users appear to be turning to the IndianOil ONE app to book cylinders and check delivery status.

Instead of calling distributors or visiting agencies, the app allows customers to handle bookings directly on their phones. This convenience may be one of the reasons behind the sudden rise in downloads.

What users can do on the IndianOil ONE app

IndianOil ONE is designed as a digital platform for customers of Indian Oil Corporation. The app brings several fuel-related services into one place so that users can manage their LPG connections more easily.

This app allows customers to book LPG cylinders, check their booking history, and search for nearby distributors. It also allows users to submit service requests, change distributors, and contact customer support if they face problems with their LPG connection.

The platform also connects with IndianOil’s XTRAREWARDS loyalty programme. Users can register for the programme through the app and track their reward points and transactions from the same account.
