JPSC ACF Mains Exam 2026 Question Paper Errors: JPSC Assistant Forest Conservator Main Exam 2026 is mired in controversies. Countless mistakes have come to light in the question papers of the examination held from April 4 to 12. These include errors in language, grammatical errors, mistranslations, incomplete, unclear questions, formatting errors as well as serious errors in concept at many places.

Jharkhand Forest Officer Exam Errors: The Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) main examination conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is now mired in serious controversy. A large number of mistakes have been found in the question papers of this examination which started from 4th to 12th April. Candidates allege that there are more than 100 mistakes in each paper, due to which not only the quality of the paper is being questioned, but the credibility of the entire examination process is also in the dock. Not only this, now these question papers are going viral on social media and users are raising questions on the system of JPSC.

When the question itself is wrong, what should the students answer?

According to the students, there are so many mistakes in the question paper that many times they do not understand what questions have been asked. At many places the language is wrong, the translation is wrong, the questions are incomplete and in some cases the concepts themselves are wrong. This wasted students’ time and also increased mental pressure. Some examples that emerged from the question paper are as follows, which you can also see in the question paper.

  • Explain the above reasons for the formation of the state of Jharkhand (2000 AD), with particular reference to regional identity, economic exploitation, control of resources and major population movements. In this question, ‘Gadhan’ has been written instead of ‘Gadhana’, ‘Ukhay’ has been written instead of ‘Main’, ‘Karan’ instead of reasons, ‘Rup’ instead of ‘Roop’, ‘Alanon’ has been written instead of ‘movements’.
  • Vague and incomplete question: “Explain the scientific principle behind the functioning of a pressure cooker. State five advantages…” This question looks correct, but its translation in Hindi is broken and wrongly structured at many places, due to which Hindi medium students faced difficulty in understanding. The question in Hindi is written like this – Explain the five scientific principles behind the working of a pressure cooker. Explain the benefits of using it for cooking in daily life.
  • Meaning of the question changed due to wrong translation: “Discuss the Nature of Indian State…” In Hindi, federal was written as Sanchiyya, Ardhasanghey was written as Ardhasandhim and Cooperative Federalism was written as Sahakari Sandhavad, which are completely wrong words.
  • The instructions themselves are incomplete: “Differentiate between sound waves and light waves…” It is further written “Explain why we see the lightning first…” But in Hindi, Nirman was written as Nirmaan, Samjhaiye was written as Samjaiye, Hum was written as Tum.

  • Irregularities in numbering: In the same section number 1 twice, somewhere after 2 and then 1, this caused confusion to the students while writing the answers as to which question should be answered in which number.
  • Inconsistency between fact and topic: “What is hard water? Explain two problems…” This question is of science, but the selection of some words in Hindi is such that the concept is not clear, like the reference to “specific type of hard water” was left incomplete.
  • Mixed and wrong language use: In many questions, Hindi and English have been mixed in such a way that it becomes difficult to understand the sentence. Example- “Role of social movements…” “Analyze the problem…” This is neither pure Hindi nor correct English.
  • Printing and layout problems: some words cut off, line breaks in the wrong place, text distorted or blurry. This took more time to study.

Students’ anger: “Is this a test or a joke?”

The examinees say, “We prepare for years and such mistakes are found in the paper. This is playing with our future.” The students also said that if there are so many irregularities in the paper, the evaluation may also be questionable.

Commenting on the viral post, Kaushal wrote, Come on, someone has raised this issue. I was shocked to see such a paper in the exam hall.

nk Other user Dr. Arvind Kumar wrote- When the aim is to sell the seat then who pays attention to the inaccuracy in the question paper. The post is filled with countless such comments.

Big question on JPSC system

This case is not just an exam mistake, but shows the weakness of the entire system and raises many questions. As-

  • Are papers being printed without proofreading?
  • Is there a shortage of subject matter experts?
  • Has the Commission’s monitoring system failed?
  • Such a lapse from a prestigious institution like JPSC not only tarnishes the credibility of the examination but also breaks the confidence of the youth.
