How to worship Lord Shiva on Monday?
On this day, one should wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, Bholenath should be anointed ritually with Panchamrit. Now a red cloth should be spread on a post and the idol of Lord Shiva should be placed. Lord Shiva should apply white sandalwood tilak. White flowers, Dhatura, hemp and Belpatra should be offered to Mahadev. After this one should take bath with clean water. You can add black sesame seeds in water. Aarti of Mahadev should be performed by lighting a lamp of desi ghee. One should recite or listen to Monday’s fast story. After this, kheer, fruits and sweets should be offered. In the end, distribute the Prasad among the people and also consume it yourself.
