Lokesh Kanagaraj Must Not Ignore Telugu Market

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is debuting as an actor with the upcoming Tamil film DC. When everyone learned about Lokesh’s debut, they thought it would be a normal film, but Lokesh stunned everyone by choosing a romantic action thriller.

Directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Sun Pictures, the film is creating a special interest among film lovers. However, what is disappointing the audiences in Telugu is the lack of promotions.

With the film gearing up for a grand release on the 7th, the team is not promoting the film in Telugu. The film has music featuring Anirudh Ravichander, and Lokesh is not a small name in the Telugu market. The lead actor Wamiqa Gabbi also did Telugu films earlier and is currently doing the Goodachari sequel. Despite all this, the importance given to the promotions in Telugu is concerning.

The Telugu market can do wonders if the film is promoted well. A proper release for DC with solid promotions could bring profits to the film. Now, DC is also an intense action drama, and it could fetch a notable viewership in Telugu states.

Better late than never, the team must consider pushing one event further, and especially when Lokesh will next be directing Allu Arjun, it will only hype the film more. Usually, any director in that scenario would love to take help of Allu Arjun’s craze and fandom and Lokesh must not ignore the Telugu land for his memorable debut.
