Jaya Pandey Suicide Case: 25-year-old beautician Jaya Pandey committed suicide on Insta Live in Vijaypur, Lucknow. He hanged himself after mentioning his love affair during live. Police reached the spot on Insta alert, recovered two mobiles and started investigation.
Lucknow No one in that quiet street of Vijaypur knew that 25 year old Jaya Pandey had reached the final decision between life and death in her rented room. No one knew what storm was going on inside Jaya, who was seen smiling on social media. But on the morning of 11th December, he suddenly came on Instagram Live and took such a step which put the entire area in panic.
What did Jaya say on Instagram Live
Jaya Pandey, a beautician by profession, started Instagram Live around 11 am. During live, she mentioned her love affair. There was trembling in his voice, and brokenness in his words. She clearly said that she has now lost life and is going to commit suicide. People watching live were surprised. No one had any idea that Jaya would actually take such a step. And then within minutes that live video turned into a tragedy. Jaya hanged herself.

Control room woke up by Instagram alert, but it was too late
An alert was immediately sent by Instagram to the Lucknow control room. Inspector Amar Singh and his team quickly reached the spot. When the police broke the door and entered, Jaya’s breathing had stopped. Police have recovered two mobile phones from the room. But the investigation could not proceed further as both the phones were locked. Police say that the real reason will become clear only after the phone is unlocked.
Fear of love affair, family reacted late
According to the initial investigation of the police, the matter seems to be of tension in a love relationship. At present, no complaint has been given by Jaya’s family. Police officials told that –
- Jaya was originally a resident of Ambedkar Nagar.
- Even after informing the family, he was not ready to come to Lucknow immediately.
- After much persuasion the family reached Lucknow
- Post mortem of the dead body was done
Police will now analyze phone data and social media activity
The investigating officers will analyze Jaya’s chats, call records and social media activities as soon as the phone is unlocked. At present the police is considering this incident as suicide related to love affair, but investigation is going on on all aspects simultaneously.
