Special Intensive Revision Online Process: If you live in any other city away from your village due to job, business or studies and are worried about filling the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) form, then it is a matter of relief that you do not need to come to the village at all. The Election Commission has also provided online facility for this. In this article, we will tell you step-by-step the easiest way to fill SIR form online, all the details like required documents, mistakes to be avoided.
What is SIR and why should you fill it?
Special Intensive Revision of Voter List or SIR is an annual process in which old or incorrect names are removed, new voters are added, EPIC and Aadhaar details are updated, duplicate names are removed. If you live away from the village and do not update your name, your name may be removed from the voter list. Therefore it is very important to fill SIR online.
What is required to fill SIR online?
- Voter ID EPIC Number
- Mobile number linked to Voter ID
- Aadhaar details should be available, such as name, date of birth and address.
- If the mobile number is not linked, then it can be linked immediately by filling Form-8 online.
What is the method of filling SIR online?
Step 1. Login to Voter Portal
- Open the official website voters.eci.gov.in.
- Login with EPIC number and mobile number.
- Open account by entering OTP.
Step 2. Fill the calculation form
- Click on ‘Fill Enumeration Form’ on the homepage
- Your complete pre-filled form 2026 will open.
Step 3. Verify your details
- Check the information like name, age, father/husband name, address, gender and EPIC number carefully.
- All these details should be same as Aadhaar card.
- If there is a mismatch the form may be rejected.
Step 4. Verify mobile number
- Enter 10-digit mobile number, an OTP will come, verify.
- If the mobile number is not linked then you will get the option of Form-8 directly. Can link at the same time.
Step 5. Select SIR Mapping
- You will have 3 options. The previous SIR had your name, the name of your parents or grandparents and the third one had no name.
- It is important to choose the correct option, otherwise the form will be rejected.
Step 6. Upload photo

Step 7. E-sign Aadhaar
- Enter Aadhaar number, OTP will come, verify it.
- Your SIR form will be submitted online.
