Kaswan told that nowadays micro drones are used to keep an eye on remote areas in the forests of India. Gangs of poachers still hunt rhinos because their horns fetch high prices in the market. Therefore, the forest department is taking all possible steps to protect the rhinos. Micro drones are used for surveillance from height and there are also special equipment to zoom these videos.

Mother and child went viral

He also explained why rhinos like to lie in the mud. The mud helps keep their heavy bodies cool and protect their sensitive skin from the sun. In a way, it works as a natural sunscreen for them. Besides, it also protects them from insects and parasites. This video shared by Parveen Kaswan went viral within a few hours and was viewed by about 30,000 people. Soon after, he shared another painful picture. It was an old photo of a rhinoceros killed by poachers. Its horn was cut off, which was to be smuggled to China via Myanmar.
