Actors Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding have teamed up for the upcoming film ‘Return to You’, which has now begun production.
Netflix and Lohan shared a joint Instagram post announcing the project and revealing that the emotional drama is set in 2008.
‘Return to You’ follows a powerful but lonely attorney who mistakenly receives a deeply personal DVD from a dying woman. The recording is addressed to the woman’s husband, prompting the attorney to embark on an unexpected journey to find him.
The joint post announced, “Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding star in RETURN TO YOU, now in production!”
The film’s story unfolds through clues contained on the DVD as the protagonist attempts to track down the intended recipient.
Lohan rose to prominence as a child actress, appearing on television soap operas including ‘Guiding Light’ in 1993 and ‘Another World’. She gained wider recognition with her dual role as reunited identical twins in the 1998 comedy ‘The Parent Trap’.
She later featured in films including ‘Get a Clue’ and ‘Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen’.
In 2021, Lohan announced her engagement to financier Bader Shammas after three years of dating. The couple married the following year, with Lohan referring to Shammas as her husband in an Instagram post. In 2023, they welcomed their son in Dubai, where Lohan has lived since 2014.
Lohan was most recently seen in the 2025 film ‘Freakier Friday’, directed by Nisha Ganatra. The film is a sequel to ‘Freaky Friday’ and the fifth instalment in the franchise, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Lohan, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto and Mark Harmon.
In ‘Freakier Friday’, Anna and Tess Coleman find themselves swapping bodies with Anna’s daughter Harper and stepdaughter Lily, respectively.
