Lighting Deepak Benefits: Why are lamps lit at any inauguration, event or auspicious occasion?

Lighting Deepak Benefits: Any program, inauguration or any auspicious work is done by lighting a lamp. Famous astrologer Dr. Basavaraj Guruji has explained the religious importance behind this auspicious work. Guruji recited the verse “Deepjyoti: Parabrahma Deepjyotirjanardanh, Deepo Haratu Me Papam Deepjyotirnamostute.” Read and explained the meaning of the lamp that it means that the light of the lamp is the Supreme Brahma and Lord Vishnu (Janardana), which removes our sins and ignorance, I bow to such a light.

He said that whatever food is offered to God, it is offered through fire. Similarly, prayers to God are done through lamps. Deepak is considered to be the form of God. The flame of the lamp always burns upwards. This upward movement symbolizes growth, progress and prosperity.

The lamp eliminates negative energy

Guruji said that since time immemorial all our programs have started with lighting the lamp. It is a tradition to light a lamp at home before starting the morning puja and only then perform the puja. During the festival of Diwali, the entire house is illuminated with lamps, which is a symbol of auspiciousness.

He said that the lamp provides us with strength and removes the negative energies around us. Deepak is also a symbol of Guru. The light emanating from the lamp removes our ignorance and provides us with the light of knowledge. In meetings and ceremonies, prayers are offered to Agnidev by lighting a lamp, “I am organizing this event, I need your blessings.” Agnidev is one of the five elements (sky, earth, fire, water, air). Agni symbolizes the Sun and has the power to maintain these five elements.

Farmers should also light lamps

Guruji says that whether it is a small business, a big business or a street vendor, it is not necessary to do business by lighting a lamp in the shop every day. However, when the lamp is lit for the first time, the negative energies prevalent in all eight directions around that place are driven away and positive energies are attracted. Guruji has also advised the farmers to pray by lighting two lamps in the ground before sowing the seeds, so that they get a good crop.
