Sushila Karki also joined the same movement and was active in the fight for democracy.

Professor Deepak Malik said, “Selection of Sushila Karki as Nepal’s interim Prime Minister is a big step in the history of the country. He is an honest and capable leader. I congratulate him.” He also added that the youth in Nepal are seeking answers from the government on issues of corruption and economic inequality, and Karki will have to take concrete steps on them.
On Friday night, President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office to Karki. Chief Justice of Nepal, senior government officials, army chief and foreign diplomat were present at the ceremony. President Paudel announced that the interim government would be responsible for holding parliamentary elections within six months.

The youth born between 1997 and 2012 in Nepal are called ‘Jane Z’. The role of these youth was important in recent demonstrations.
