Samajwadi Party national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav gave his response to the social media site X and wrote that “students in Barabanki are a sign of lathicharge, government failure and frustration.” Akhilesh linked the incident with the anti -student policies of the BJP government and questioned the administration.

Congress President Ajay Rai said: “Democracy strangled”
The Congress also did not lag behind in this matter. The party’s Uttar Pradesh unit president Ajay Rai said that the use of police on ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) students in Barabanki is condemnable. He wrote, “Raising voice is the right of the students. Rourishing them is strangling democracy. The Congress is standing with them in the fight for the rights of the students.”
SP MP Anand Bhadoria also landed in the ground
Samajwadi Party MP Anand Bhadoria also gave a statement in support of the students, opposing the lathicharge. He wrote on X that “Why students should not be associated with any organization, but such a police behavior on them is unfair. This cruel act is condemnable and the BJP government’s attitude has always been anti -student.”
Police side: “Students sabotage”
At the same time, the police administration dismissed the allegations and said that the students had vandalized the university campus. To control the crowd and normalize the situation had to use “light force”. However, reports of many students were injured in this action.
