The incident took place near the Naushehra Nar area of Gurez sector. Vigilant soldiers noticed that some terrorists were trying to enter the Indian border. Both the terrorists were killed after a short firing.

Officials said, “Infiltration attempt was successfully thwarted and two terrorists were killed.” The entire area has been surrounded and search operation is going on to search for the rest of the intruders. At the same time, a large weapon and ammunition were seized in Kupwara district on Wednesday. Police said this is a major setback to the nefarious plan of terrorists and their supporters and this prevented possible terrorist incidents in the area.

Weapons and ammunition recovered from forest
The Special Operation Group of Handwara Police recovered weapons and ammunition from Bhuvan Jungle of Rajwar. It found 22 grenades, an under-barrel grenade launcher, 15 AK-47 tablets and half a kilo of black powder, which is suspected to be explosive.
