Of these, 9 devotees have been killed in Katra and 4 people in Doda. 22 devotees have also been injured due to landslides. Due to heavy rains, 3 devotees were swept away after a car collapsed in Chanini Nala, two of whom are residents of Rajasthan and one Agra. Due to heavy rains on Sunday, flood -like conditions have been created in Jammu city. Tawi, Chenab and Ujj rivers are flowing above the danger mark.
Vaishno Devi Yatra adjourned till half past one in the afternoon
On the Ardhkunwari road, when the devotees were growing near the Indraprastha restaurant, suddenly big stones started falling from the hill. The Shrine Board team and police present on the spot immediately started rescue work. , In view of the situation, the Vaishno Devi Yatra has been postponed till 1.30 pm on Wednesday. A cloudburst in Doda district of Doda district caused heavy boom in the drains. Many buildings have been damaged. Apart from this, traffic on bridges also had to be stopped. 4 people have died in different areas of the district.

Schools will be closed on August 27, college

Seeing the situation serious in Jammu division, all schools and colleges will be closed on August 27. The administration has banned the exit from the houses after 9 pm. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and inquired about the situation and directed to send the NDRF team to Katra.
