La Nina: As soon as the month of October starts, mild cold i.e. pink winter has started being felt in many states including Delhi. The Meteorological Department says that this year winter will come before time and will be colder than previous years. The temperature in Delhi has remained below 20 degrees for the last three days. Snowfall has started in the higher areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. This time snow has fallen in Srinagar before the normal time, while rain in the low-lying areas has further increased the cold. According to weather experts, this time it is going to be extremely cold.
Continuous rain in low lying areas
Snowfall continued throughout the week in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, while the lower reaches received continuous rain. Due to this, a significant drop in temperature was recorded in both Himachal and Punjab. Weather experts say that the current cold and rainy season may continue for some more time. The main reason for this changing weather is La Nina. This is a natural climatic process in which the waters in the middle and eastern parts of the Pacific Ocean become cooler than normal.
