Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, which debuted on July 29 on Star Plus and JioHotstar, became the highest-rated Hindi GEC fiction launch (drama series or daily soap broadcast on Hindi-language General Entertainment Channels in India) in the previous five years, according to BARC data. Smirti Irani and Amar Upadhyay’s TV show had a stellar debut of 2.5 television rating.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi overtook Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa, which had just dropped at 2.1, to take third place. Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile (Zee TV), Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah (Zee TV), Kumkum Bhagya (Zee TV) and the Colors shows all receive a TVR of 1.3.
