In the new episode of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ reboot, a new Tulsi enters the drama, while the Virani family deals with the chaos and shame of Angad’s arrest.
Angad tells the police and his family that he didn’t commit any crime. He tells a visibly shocked Tulsi and his father, Mihir, that while the accident did take place, he is sure that nobody was hurt. An emotional Tulsi doesn’t believe him, slaps him and beats him with a stick. more maturely and tells Tulsi there’s a possibility Angad is not lying.
Inside the jail, Angad tells Tulsi and Mihir that he wasn’t even driving – the car was being driven by his friend. However, the friend denies the allegation in a call with Tulsi and says Angad is lying.
Back home, while one Kaki tries to comfort Tulsi by offering her ginger tea, for her children, and how a mother is responsible for her children’s behaviour.
Meanwhile, at the police station, the investigating officer is shocked to find that the accident wasn’t captured on CCTV footage. He says he doesn’t want any innocent person to be punished, and therefore asks his team to extract footage from other departments.
When a worried Pari asks Mihir if Angad will be out on bail soon, Gayatri interrupts and says it’s not so easy in such cases, and that only a good lawyer can sort it out. Enters Hemant, who has been practising law in the US so far.
“Hota nahi, hoon yahin par (I am not away, I am right here),” says Hemant as he enters Shanti Niketan. He is welcomed with a warm hug by Mihir. Hemant tells everyone that his family needs him right now, and no one should worry about Angad.
As Mihir is about to sign Angad’s bail papers, Tulsi stops him. She says Angad needs to do penance for his mistake, and doesn’t deserve to be bailed out just like that.
Hemant tries to convince her that Angad needs to be out of jail. Tulsi says that as a mother, she can understand the pain of the mother whose son was hit by Angad’s car.
Mihir brings up the media outside their house and office, looking for more updates on the case. But Tulsi doesn’t flinch. She stands firm in her ideals.
“You are right as per law, but not as per humanity,” she tells Mihir. She says she doesn’t want to set the wrong precedent by showing her children that just because they have money, they can get out of any situation.
Gayatri takes advantage of the moment, and blurts, “He is not her blood, that is why.”
She adds that while the family may like discussing the fact that Angad is an adopted child, the truth remains – and that is why Tulsi is not reacting as ardently as she would have if she had given birth to Angad.
It is revealed that Angad, Pari and Hrithik are actually Tulsi’s sister Kesar’s children, and Tulsi adopted them after her sister’s death.
. Pari and Hrithik try to console her, saying they don’t believe what others say – they have always considered her their mother. As the storm strikes, she runs down to protect the holy Tulsi plant against the rain, even as she tries to make sense of the situation.
A new character is introduced – a young girl doing her best to protect the Tulsi plant at her home. A parallel is drawn between Tulsi from the older generation and this girl from the new one.
Scenes from the girl’s home in a chawl show an old woman fighting with her daughter-in-law. It is revealed that the girl comes from a humble household and is the sister of the traffic police officer who tampered with the CCTV footage.
The promo fo the next episode shows the girl looking at the real CCTV footage on her brother’s laptop and wondering why Angad was being punished for a crime that he didn’t commit.
