Chandigarh. State level cattle fair is being organized in Kurukshetra, Haryana from 6th to 8th February. In this fair, precious animals of good breed will catwalk on the ramp. Prize money will be given to cattle breeders who bring animals of excellent breed in the competition. Along with this, farmers who register daily during the fair will get a chance to win attractive prizes like Bullet Motorcycle. The winners will be selected through lucky draw every evening.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will be the chief guest
According to the government spokesperson, on February 6, Haryana Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana will inaugurate the 41st state level livestock exhibition. On February 7, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Panchayati Raj Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh will be the chief guest. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest and Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana will preside over the program.
Livestock Exhibition Haryana: Exhibition of new technology and institutions
Two big exhibitions will be organized in the fair, in which more than 100 government and private institutions will participate. Here, farmers will be given information about new technologies and modern methods related to animal husbandry. There will be cultural programs daily for the entertainment of the farmers and arrangements for free refreshments have also been made by the government.
About 1 lakh farmers will come from 23 districts
According to the Animal Husbandry Department, about 1 lakh farmers from 23 districts of the state will participate in this fair. Buses have been arranged for the transportation of farmers. The department has also ensured all necessary arrangements at the venue.
Competition in 1500 animals and 53 categories
About 1500 good breed animals will be brought to the state level cattle fair. These animals have been divided into 53 different categories and competitions will be held in each category. This will give the cattle farmers an opportunity to showcase their best breed of animals and win prizes.
