Kuldeep`s three-wicket haul helps India win by 41 runs against Bangladesh

In an attempt to chase the target of 169 runs against , Bangladesh`s innings was wrapped up for 127 runs in 19.3 overs. With this, the “Men in Blue” won the match by 41 runs.

Opening the innings, Saif Hassan played a knock of 69 runs off 51 deliveries, including three boundaries and five maximums. Parvez Hossain Emon also scored 21 runs in 19 balls, with the help of two boundaries and a maximum.

No other Bangladeshi batsman was able to score more than 10 runs.

For Team India, star spinner claimed three wickets by conceding 18 runs in four overs. Varun Chakaravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah bagged two wickets each. Tilak Varma and Axar Patel, too, registered one wicket each to their names.

Having put to bat first in the `Super Four` match of the Asia Cup 2025, Team India posted a total of 168 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Opening the innings for India, Shubman Gill smashed 29 runs in 19 balls, with the help of two boundaries and a maximum. Fellow opening batsman, Abhishe Sharma, continued enjoying his rich vein of form. Facing 37 deliveries, the left-hander garnered 75 runs, which was laced with six boundaries and five maximums.

Coming to bat at number three, was not able to make the most out of the opportunity. He faced three balls and managed to score just two runs.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav also did not have a good outing as he departed in just five runs after facing 11 balls. Tilak Varma, too, followed Suryakumar`s footsteps and returned to the pavilion after scoring five runs in seven balls.

Later, premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya delivered a decent knock by accumulating 38 runs off 29 balls. His 38-run knock saw him smash four boundaries and a maximum. Axar Patel stayed unbeaten on 10 runs after facing 15 balls.

For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain was the most successful bowler. Bowling tree overs, he bagged two wickets by conceding 27 runs. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, and Mohammad Saifuddin registered one wicket each to their names.

Completing his quota of four overs, Sakib leaked 29 runs, whereas Mustafizur conceded 33 runs in his spell of four overs. Saifuddin was smashed for 37 runs in three overs.

Nasum Ahmed and Saif Hassan went wicketless in the `Super Four` match of the Asia Cup 2025 against Team India. Bowling four overs, Nasum was smashed for 34 runs, and Saif gave away seven runs by bowling two overs.

Bangladesh will now lock horns against Pakistan on September 25 at the Dubai International Stadium.
