Mumbai: Kamaal R. Khan, aka KRK, took to social media to offer his support for actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav, who surrendered at Tihar Jail on February 5 after a Delhi court in a cheque bounce case.
KRK stated that he was ready to give Rs 10 lakhs to the actor. He also asked the Bollywood fraternity to join hands and help Yadav overcome the financial ordeal.
“I am ready to give Rs 10 lakhs for Rajpal Yadav. Let’s all Bollywood people come together to give him Rs 5cr! If he does pay back only Rs 5cr So he can come out from jail immediately! Let’s all help him (sic),” said KRK.
Music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav, the founder of GemTunes Music, also offered help to Yadav. He promised a generous amount of Rs 1.11 crore to the struggling comedian.
Previously, actor Sonu Sood publicly offered work to Yadav to help him overcome the money trouble. Taking to X, he stated, “Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal.” He added, “A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity, it’s dignity. When one of our own is going through a tough phase, the industry must remind him he’s not alone. This is how we show we are more than just an industry.”
Yadav, who surrendered to the cops, said he had no money or friends. According to NewsX, he stated, “Sir, kya karoon? Mere paas paise nahin hain. Aur koi upaay nahin dikhta… Sir, yahan hum sab akele hain. There are no friends. I have to deal with this crisis on my own.”
The cheque bounce case involving Yadav can be traced back to 2010, when he borrowed Rs 5 crore to fund his directorial debut.
