Krithi Shetty is currently acting in “January 12 Vidudala”, alongside Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, in a film directed by Anil Ravipudi. Having acted in more than half a dozen Telugu films, she has also ventured into Tamil and Malayalam cinema.
Now, the “Uppena” actress is set to make her Bollywood debut with a romantic drama. The makers formally announced the project after visiting Tirumala to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
The yet-to-be-titled film will also mark the directorial debut of Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, who has reportedly worked with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for over 17 years.
AVS Studios, owned by Abhishek S. Vyas, is producing the film. Regular shooting is expected to begin soon, but the makers have yet to reveal the name of the male lead.
Krithi Shetty is hoping that “January 12 Vidudala” will give her career a boost. Her Bollywood debut is another promising development, as she looks to expand her presence beyond South Indian cinema.
