Opium offers opium to Shri Krishna for double profit
According to sources, this opium was offered to God by devotees in the last several years. Farmers of Mewar and Malwa, where opium is cultivated, also offer a little opium with cash on their good yield in the temple. It is believed that “the more you offer, the more God will be in business and farming”. Even some traders and farmers write a certain part of their profits ‘Sanwaria Seth’.
Prasad of opium is distributed to devotees
Sometimes it was used by the priests of the opium temple themselves and were also given to special devotees as ‘Prasad’. But for some years the temple administration started depositing it in the basement. Recently, after a complaint, the Narcotics Department opened the cellar and weighed opium, which came out more than 58 kg. According to officials, now in future Chaturdashi, the opium climbing the temple will be weighed under police supervision and will be deposited under a legal process.
Sanwaliya Seth gets offered in crores
The temple of Sanwaliya is not only due to opium, but another reason also comes under discussion every month and that is a huge offering. The offering of Sanwariya Seth Temple is the subject of discussion across the country. There is an average of Rs 18–20 crore offering every month, which includes cash, gold and silver. This year, in the first 7 months, more than one hundred and fifty crores of offering has come.
