Kpop Demon Hunters’ EJAE, who became a global phenomenon with the record-smashing track Golden, got married to Sam Kim. Kim Eun-jae, popularly known as EJAE, tied the knot at her grandfather Shin Young-kyun’s former mansion in Seoul, South Korea. The couple was supposed to get married in November in California, but preponed the ceremony to October. The ceremony took place at Stage 28, which is located on the former residential site of veteran actor Shin Young-kyun, EJAE’s maternal grandfather.

According to reports, the wedding took place on October 17 in the garden of Stage 28. The singer was dressed in a custom-made tulle dress by designer Daniel Frankel, and accessorised with jewellery that was inherited from her grandmother and mother. EJAE and Sam’s reception was held in a glass greenhouse. For the ceremony, she wore a custom dress by Zac Posen, and opted for a Mila Nova mini dress later.

During the wedding, the band After Eight performed songs selected by the couple. While the band played the songs personally chosen by EJAE and Sam, toasts were given in both Korean and English, and a K-street food booth served food to the guests.
Who is EJAE’s husband Sam Kim?
Sam Kim is a music producer, composer and computer programmer. They met for the first time in 2017 during a songwriting session. They bonded over their mutual interest in music. Soon, they developed romantic feelings for each other, and he reportedly confessed his feelings to EJAE. After dating for a few years, EJAE and Sam got engaged in June 2025. The wedding preparations were affected due to her professional commitments and the success of Kpop Demon Hunters.
Who is EJAE?
EJAE started training to become a K-pop idol at the age of 11 under the South Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment. She studied music at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts before building a successful career as a songwriter and producer. In K-pop Demon Hunters, she was the singing voice of Rumi, the leader of the fictional girl group HUNTR/X. EJAE also co-wrote and performed vocals for Golden in Kpop Demon Hunters, which won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in January 2026 and a Grammy Award.
She is the daughter of Shin Hye-jin, vice chairman of Seyoung Enterprises.
