Korba created the Golden Book of World Record on 6 February 2026 by signing 15500 signatures in 20 minutes in the Swachhta Pledge Campaign. Earlier there was a record of 7594 signatures. This achievement was achieved with the participation of administration, citizens and organizations.

Under the Mahasankalp 2026 campaign of Municipal Corporation Korba, the city has created such a record, which will not be easy to break soon. Korba has gained recognition at the global level by registering its name in the Golden Book of World Records.

Swachhta Pledge Record: Unique record of 15500 signatures in 20 minutes

Announcing the record, Dr. Manish Vishwanoi, Asia Head of the Golden Book of World Records, said that this is the “rare to rarest” record. Earlier, Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand had a record of 7594 signatures in one hour, which Korba broke by a huge margin by collecting 15500 signatures in just 20 minutes.

Mega Cleanliness Campaign: Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan was the chief guest

After a week of preparations, the cleanliness pledge signing campaign was organized on a 280 meter long banner. Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan was the chief guest in the program. Many officials including Collector Kunal Dudawat, SP Siddharth Tiwari, BJP District President Gopal Modi were present on this occasion. Mayor Sanjudevi Rajput, Commissioner Ashutosh Pandey and Chairman Nutan Singh Thakur hosted the event.
