Indian cricketer KL Rahul extended a warm birthday wish to his father-in-law and veteran actor Suniel Shetty on Tuesday, calling him the “Best Ajja” for his granddaughter Evaarah.
Rahul shared an adorable photograph of Suniel Shetty holding Evaarah in his arms on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Happy birthday to the best ajja,” accompanied by hug and red-heart emojis.
Suniel’s daughter Athiya Shetty and Rahul began dating in 2019 before getting married on January 23, 2023, at Suniel’s farmhouse in Khandala. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Evaarah, on March 24, 2025.
Athiya also marked her father’s birthday by sharing a childhood family photograph on Instagram Stories with a heartfelt message expressing her love for him. Suniel’s son and actor Ahan Shetty posted a father-son photograph with a simple birthday greeting.
Several members of the film fraternity also wished the veteran actor. Ajay Devgn shared a throwback still from the 1994 film Dilwale and wrote, “Happy Birthday Suniel Anna, ek dilwale ki taraf se dusre dilwale ko.”
Jackie Shroff posted a candid photograph of Suniel and described him as “Asli Bhidu forever”, while Sonu Sood wished him a wonderful birthday.
Suniel’s Gopi Kishan co-star Shilpa Shirodkar also shared a photograph from the film, writing that while he is “Anna” to everyone, he remains her “only Gopi”.
Suniel Shetty made his Bollywood debut with Balwan in 1992 and subsequently featured in several popular films, including Mohra, Border, Dhadkan, Hera Pheri, Main Hoon Na, Phir Hera Pheri and Awara Paagal Deewana.
