KL Rahul equals Chris Gayle with record 6th IPL century

New Delhi: Seasoned player KL Rahul batted exceptional well to bring up his first century in the Indian Premier league 2026 edition. Batting for Delhi Capitals during the clash against Punjab Kings on Saturday, Rahul smashed his 6th century in the cash-rich league equaling the record of flamboyant Chris Gayle, who has as many hundreds.

Rahul, till now, was placed alongside Sanju Samson with five IPL centuries but with this hundred, he jumped a step ahead be become the joint-third batter along with the West Indies great. Virat Kohli leads the list with 8 centuries while Jos Buttler is second with 7 centuries.

Along with this, Rahul now has the joint-most hundreds by a DC batter (2) alongside Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. The right-handed batter, who looked in a fabulous form, got to his century in just 47 balls.
