Mumbai Indians (MI) veteran Kieron Pollard hilariously demanded INR 15 crore from for completing 15 years with MI. Rohit and Pollard were the backbone of the MI team that won five IPL titles.
In a video that went viral on social media, Pollard placed a box in front of Rohit and asked him to put the money in it, saying it would be shared by the team, leaving everyone in the dressing room in splits.
Rohit is the heart and soul of the team in IPL. He joined the franchise in 2011 after being advocated by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, and became the face of the franchise. With 6267 runs, Rohit is the leading run scorer for the Mumbai Indians, and also led the team to five IPL trophies as captain.

During the event, Hardik Pandya congratulated Rohit Sharma for the special feat and lauded him for being a true leader under whom he, along with several other players, flourished.

Meanwhile, Rohit also delivered a special speech and thanked the Mumbai Indians fraternity for supporting him throughout.

“It couldn’t have been what it is for me without the effort of all you guys. This is a very very special team, very very special franchise and very very special people involved in this team. Yes, we won 5 trophies but obviously we all know that it is not possible without an effort of the entire team who is involved in making this franchise so so special.”
“I also, obviously Akash is not here, bhabhi is not here but I sincerely want to thank them as well for you know putting that support behind me because their support obviously was very much needed at that point for me to grow as a captain, grow as a player in this franchisee because I wouldn’t have learnt the art of being a leader if it was not for this franchisee. Obviously there’s a lot of people to thank for that. A lot of people helped me grow into that leadership role and also now as a player as well you know there’s been immense support from everyone.
“Even the guys who are not here, I sincerely from the bottom of my heart would like to thank everyone for making this special journey.
