Actress Kiara Advani has opened up about her experience of working on Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, saying the Yash-starrer pushed her beyond familiar territory and helped her discover new skills.
Kiara shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the film’s making in which she is seen sitting inside a large, transparent, bowl-shaped tank filled with water.
Reflecting on the experience, the actress said films often take actors into unfamiliar worlds and challenge them to discover abilities they did not know they possessed.
“This one taught me to be comfortable with the unfamiliar, to stay curious, to keep learning and to find joy in the adventure of it all,” Kiara wrote.
She added that personal growth comes from accepting challenges that can initially feel intimidating and embracing the journey that follows.
“Here’s to new skills, new adventures, and the kind of passion that keeps you willing to dive in again and again!” she said.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is described as a gangster film and features Yash in a dual role alongside Kiara, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film has reportedly been mounted on a budget of Rs 500-1,000 crore, potentially making it one of the most expensive Indian films.
The story follows Raya, a violent gangster and playboy who rises through the underworld before eventually facing a downfall. Years later, he encounters his biological son Rumi, also known as Ticket, who seeks revenge after Raya abandoned him and his wife.
Kiara was last seen on the big screen in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 in 2025. The sixth instalment of the YRF Spy Universe and a continuation of the 2019 film War, it stars Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., with Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
The film follows former RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal, who becomes a major national security threat after going rogue, prompting special units officer Vikram Chelapathi to pursue him.
