Kia Expands Carens Clavis EV lineup starting at Rs 19.99 lakh

New Delhi: Kia, South Korean carmakers, has announced the addition of two new trims to its Carens Clavis EV lineup, HTX E and HTX E [ER] priced at INR 19.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom) and INR 21.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively. The new variants are positioned between the existing HTK+ and HTX trims and come with added comfort, convenience, and tech-focused upgrades.

After Indian brands like Tata and Mahindra, now Kia came up with its first made-in-India electric vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV. The Kia has created this model for  urban families and young professionals seeking a stylish, feature-rich electric vehicle with strong performance credentials. Kia India is also introducing these new trims to offer enhanced choices and features tailored to consumer needs.

The HTX E trim is powered by a 42 kWh battery pack, while the HTX E [ER] variant gets a larger 51.4 kWh unit. Both feature-rich trims include a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting for all three rows, auto up/down windows, ECM room mirror, wireless charger, and a two-tone steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment.

Inside, The EV features a 67.62 cm (26.62-inch) dual panoramic display and 90 connected car features. The cabin has been designed with features like a folding seat-back table, air purifier with virus protection, leatherette seats, multi-color mood lighting with footwell illumination, and solar glass. In terms of safety it comes with 18 advanced safety features including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC). The EV also features a 67.62 cm (26.62-inch) dual panoramic display and 90 connected car features.

The Carens Clavis EV continues to impress with its dual battery options, including 42 kWh offering up to 404 km range and 51.4 kWh offering up to 490 km range (as per company claims). It delivers 99 kW and 126 kW power outputs with 255 Nm torque and supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes.

Kia India is also planning to provide 11,000 charging points through the K-Charge platform on the MyKia app, along with 250 EV-ready workshops and 100 dealerships equipped with DC fast chargers. The brand’s Kia Drive Green initiative also promotes sustainable mobility by rewarding eco-friendly driving behavior via the Kia Connect app.

With the introduction of the HTX E and HTX E [ER] variants, the Carens Clavis EV lineup now includes six trims — HTK+, HTX E, HTX, HTX E [ER], HTX [ER], and HTX+ [ER]  providing more flexibility and choice for Indian buyers.
