Kia announce pricing of Carens Clavis EV, coming under Rs 20 lakh

New Delhi: Kia India have announced the opening of bookings for their made-in-India seven-seater electric vehicle, the Caren Clavis EV, starting from July 22nd, 2025. Customers now have the option of booking the Carens Clavis EV through both the Kia website and the Kia dealerships across India, with a booking amount of Rs 25,000. The prices start at Rs 17.99 lakh.

With the ever-evolving EV customers coming up in the Indian market, the Carens Clavis EV is designed to meet the demands of such consumers. It blends the style, performance, space and features while remaining at an affordable price range. 

On the price announcement, Mr Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, said, “The Carens Clavis EV marks a pivotal moment in Kia India’s journey towards making electric mobility truly inclusive and accessible. Being our first electric vehicle inspired by India, it is a 7-seater EV that reflects our vision to offer smart, sustainable, and accessible EV solutions with a true value for money proposition. It will ensure complete peace of mind with our capable EV ecosystem ― including the K-Charge feature on the MyKia app and a robust network of 250+ EV-ready workshops, including 100+ dealerships equipped with DC fast chargers. We’re excited to open bookings and invite customers to bring home their Carens Clavis EV.”

The Carens Clavis EV portrays Kia’s global design philosophy, which is “Oppsited United”. It mixes innovation with accessibility; the Carens Clavis EV has both a contemporary design and technology, along with a spacious interior that comes at a decent price. 

The Caren Clavis comes with fast charging capabilities, going from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 39 minutes with a 100 kW DC charger, electric motors that produce 126 kW and 99 kW and producing 255 Nm of torque, with four levels of regenerative braking system with paddle shifters. It has two battery options: the 42 kWh, which has an ARAI-certified 404 km of range (MIDC full) and a 51.4 kWh battery that has an ARAI-certified range of 490 km (MIDC full).

In terms of safety, the Kia comes with ADAS Level 2 with 20 autonomous features and a robust suite of 19 Hi-Safety features ensuring passenger safety. The vehicle also has a robust suite of 90 connected car features, which includes smartphone integration, remote-control capabilities and intelligent navigation. 

The Carens Clavis EV gets a 26.62-inch Dual Panoramic Display Panel that combines both infotainment and driver instrumentation. Further, it has a Smart Infotainment-Temperature Control Swap Switch, a 64-colour ambient cabin lighting, One-Touch Electric Tumble for second-row seats, Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof and Boss Mode for added convenience. 

The Caren Clavis EV will come in four variants, the HTK Plus, HTX, HTX ER and HTX Plus ER, along with six colour options, which are Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Ivory Silver Matte and Glacier White Pearl.
