Khatron Ke Khiladi 15‘s pellet gun stunt sparked concerns over contestants’ safety on the show. Karan Wahi and Gaurav Khanna suffered severe back injuries due to rubber bullets while they performed. Days after the episode aired, Karan has finally broken his silence on this much-talked-about stunt. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, the television actor revealed he initially didn’t think it would be that painful. Although the contestants were scared, they weren’t completely aware about the stunt. However, things changed when the first bullet hit Karan. Here’s what he told us.

Speaking exclusively to us, Karan mentioned that the criteria of Pain Auction on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 was new to all contestants. They were the given the option of quitting at given point of time. Host Rohit Shetty, who never encourages quitting, advised the contesants to quit if they can’t take the pain.

“Because this is not fun and games. This could actually scare you and injure you in ways that you wouldn’t want to. Eventually, we had just begun the season. So, you don’t want to get into the show or go through the show with a lot of pain. After the hit, my mind went numb. My body was taking the blows, but I think beyond a point of time, I went numb,” he shared.
The Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 contestant recalled remembering God, which probably kept him going through the stunt. “I couldn’t hear anybody. I would just hear someone getting shot next to me. And I probably knew that it would now come to me. When I think about it, what took me through the stunt, I really don’t know. I don’t know if it would be given to me another time, I would ever be able to do it. I never thought it would be that bad,” he admitted.

eventually realised what he had done after he saw the injuries on his back. According to him, one doesn’t realise what they’re going through as the mind or body goes into shock beyond a point of time.
