For Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’s second weekend, Anupamaa actor Gaurav Khanna got candid with host Rohit Shetty when he shared that he is always scared when starting any show or project. Gaurav had to unlock his phone and share his group chats with Rohit after losing a challenge with his team. While the interaction was funny at first, Rohit peeked into the family group chat; it was a message with a former Khatron Ke Khiladi contestant that got Gaurav to admit a big fear about his career on the reality show.

Host Rohit randomly selected a contestant’s phone. It turned out to be , as he was from the losing team. He had to show his group chats to Rohit. The first was a family one which had some pretty filmy names. Gaurav’s father’s name is Vinod Khanna; his cousin is named Rajesh Khanna. The Bigg Boss 19 winner went on to say, “My distant cousin’s name is Rishi Kapoor, and his cousin is called Raj Kapoor. Thodi filmy family hai Sir.”
The next text was from actor Hussain Kuwajerwala. Gaurav revealed that he had messaged Hussain to tell him that he won’t be going for Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, but Hussain encouraged Gaurav to participate. His last message to Hussain was about the dangerous helicopter stunt that he had completed. However, Gaurav also wrote, ‘I’m shit scared and petrified.’ To which Hussain replied that you used to be scared before as well.
When Rohit enquired why Gaurav used to be so scared before, the actor got emotional as he remembered, “Very early in my career, when I started TV, I kept getting work, but somehow the shows didn’t last very long beyond a year. Ek tag lag gaya tha ke Gaurav ke shows nahi chalte, and it’s a very heavy tag for an actor.”
He felt that if his shows worked, it was due to everyone else, but if they tanked, it was called his failure, and he was called unlucky or a ‘panauti’. “Woh mera ek fear hai whenever I give an audition also, that if this show doesn’t work that again they will give me that medal that his shows don’t work,” Gaurav admitted.

However, assured him that he has definitely turned the tide after winning both Bigg Boss and Celebrity MasterChef India. He assured the actor that success arrives swiftly with time.
