President Draupadi Murmu reached Kerala on her visit to Sabarimala, where shortly after landing on the helipad, her helicopter suddenly got stuck in a concrete pit. Now a Kerala Police officer has given the reason for the collapse of this helipad.
New Delhi/Thiruvananthapuram. After President Draupadi Murmu’s helicopter landed in Pathanamthitta, Kerala on Wednesday, a part of the helipad on which the helicopter landed collapsed. Let us tell you that the helicopter carrying President Draupadi Murmu had landed at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Pramadam, Pathanamthitta for Sabarimala darshan.
Why did the helipad collapse?
According to reports, a senior police officer of Pathanamthitta said that the decision to land President Murmu’s helicopter at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium was taken at the last moment, after which a helipad was made there late on Tuesday night. The concrete of the helipad at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium had not set completely as it was built overnight. This was the reason why the concrete did not set completely and could not support the weight of the helicopter when it landed and potholes formed where the wheels touched the ground.
The helicopter’s wheels were taken out of the pits.
Shortly after President Draupadi Murmu left for Pamba by road, several policemen and the fire brigade team were seen taking out the wheels of the helicopter from small potholes formed after landing on the concrete. Let us inform you that President Murmu reached Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening for his four-day official visit to Kerala. She left for Pathanamthitta district on Wednesday morning, where the hill shrine of Sabarimala is located.
