Thiruvananthapuram: A day after the Election Commission announced the date for the Assembly Election in Kerala, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced its first list of candidates. The state will go on polls on April 9 for the 140 member Assembly, while the results will be announced on May 4.
The party announced the list of 47 candidates. Former Union Minister and party’s state unit President Rajeev Chandrasekhar will contest from Nemom constituency. R Reshi, who joined the BJP from Congress last month, has been fielded from Kottarakkara.
