Keir Starmer visit to India: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is on a visit to India. He had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. During this, Narendra Modi appealed to the UK PM to take action against Khalistanis. The issue of Khalistani extremism was discussed in detail between the two leaders.
There is no place for fundamentalism in a democratic society.
India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, “PM Modi stressed that there is no place for fundamentalism and violent extremism in democratic societies. They should not be allowed to abuse the freedoms offered by the society. They need to be taken action against within the legal framework available to both sides.”

The Foreign Secretary described the UK PM’s visit as “truly a partnership for people”. Said that India and Britain are working together on many fronts for the benefit of the citizens of both the countries. A Free Trade Agreement (FTA) has been signed between India and the UK. This will support India’s vision of a developed India and create employment opportunities for the youth.
Starmer has come to India with a delegation of 125 members.
Starmer has come to India with a 125-member delegation. Leading businessmen and academicians of Britain have come with him. This is the largest ever British business delegation to visit India. There have also been nine vice-chancellors of major British universities planning collaboration in India.

PM Narendra Modi said that these 9 universities of Britain will open their campuses in India. After coming to India, the British Prime Minister has met the leaders of Indian industry. He has visited Yash Raj Films to discuss possibilities of collaboration in film production. Along with this, he also participated in a program related to football.
