Keerthy Suresh has dismissed speculation that her upcoming Telugu film, directed by Anil Ravipudi, is a remake of the Malayalam hit Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil.
The actress is currently shooting for the multi-starrer, which features Venkatesh in the lead, with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Krithi Shetty playing other key roles.
The project marks Keerthy’s first collaboration with both Venkatesh and director Anil Ravipudi. It is also her second Telugu film after marrying her longtime boyfriend, Antony Thattil.
Rumours on social media had suggested that the film was based on the 2024 Malayalam blockbuster.
When a fan directly asked Keerthy whether the Telugu film was a remake, she gave a straightforward reply: “No it is not.”
With that one-line response, Keerthy has effectively put an end to the remake speculation.
Although the makers are yet to reveal details of the film’s story, her clarification indicates that Anil Ravipudi’s latest project is not an adaptation of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil.
