The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 continues to be one of the most balanced middleweight sport bikes in India. Priced at Rs 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom), it remains a strong choice for those who are stepping up from smaller capacity motorcycles.
At its core lies a 649cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel-twin engine, a configuration Kawasaki has refined over the years for smooth power delivery and strong mid-range punch. The motor produces 68 hp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm, paired with a slick-shifting 6-speed gearbox. The Ninja 650 can achieve a top speed of 212 km/h. Kawasaki claims an ARAI-certified mileage of 21 km/l for this sports bike.
Underneath, the Ninja 650 uses a lightweight trellis frame made from high-tensile steel. This chassis setup not only aids stability at high speeds but also contributes to the bike’s neutral handling characteristics. The suspension system features a 41 mm telescopic fork up front with 125 mm of travel, and a Horizontal Back-link rear shock offering 130 mm of travel.
Braking duties are handled by dual 300 mm front discs with dual-piston callipers and a single 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper. The braking setup offers confident stopping power, complemented by ABS as standard. Tyre sizes are 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 160/60 ZR17 at the rear, both mounted on stylish alloy wheels, ensuring excellent road grip and stability during aggressive cornering or sudden braking.
