Kawasaki launched 2026 Ninja 650 in India at Rs 7.91 Lakh

New Delhi: Kawasaki India has introduced the 2026 Ninja 650 in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.91 lakh. This update does not bring any mechanical changes, and the bike will continue to be sold alongside the MY25 version. The overall design and bodywork remain unchanged as well. The Ninja 650 is one of the first Kawasaki motorcycles in India to receive the MY26 update, joining other updated models such as the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R.

In terms of colour options, the Indian-spec 2026 Ninja 650 is offered only in lime green with white and blue graphics. In international markets, the motorcycle is also available in matte grey and black shades. The MY25 Ninja 650 will continue to be sold in lime green with ebony and pearl blizzard white paint schemes.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 powertrain

The motorcycle continues to use the same 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox, paired with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts and better control during aggressive downshifts.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 upgrades

For the new model year, Kawasaki has made some feature updates. The Ninja 650 now gets a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity along with full LED lighting, traction control. It also includes two modes, dual throttle valves, and ABS. These additions improve convenience and safety however it does not change the core riding experience.

The Ninja 650 is built on a high-tensile steel trellis frame. Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front with 125 mm of wheel travel, while the rear gets a monoshock offering 130 mm of travel. Braking is managed by dual 300 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. The Ninja 650 has a wheelbase of 1,410 mm, while ground clearance stands at 130 mm. It has a 15-liter fuel tank and a seat height of 790 mm, making it accessible for most riders.
