Campaigning for the second phase of Bihar elections 2025 ends. While NDA focused on the issue of Jungle Raj, the Grand Alliance focused on employment. After the heated exchange between PM Modi and Tejashwi Yadav, now the decision is in the hands of the public.
Before the voting for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the political temperature boiled fiercely. The campaign stopped completely from Sunday evening. But before this, the language in the rallies of the leaders had become so sharp that arrows after arrows were fired from every platform. Both the NDA and the Grand Alliance put in all their strength to woo, scare, warn and arouse the emotions of the public.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the team of Union ministers held consecutive rallies in Bihar. On the other hand, Tejashwi Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi took the lead from the Grand Alliance.
Modi’s attack: Remembering Jungle Raj and warning of ‘current’
In the rallies of Sitamarhi, Araria and Bettiah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Grand Alliance. He said, “Bihar needs books, computers and startups, not guns. Those who made Bihar backward, want to return and push it into jungle raj. People should be alert. If a mistake is made, there will be such a shock that there will be no room for regrets.” Modi cornered the Grand Alliance on the issue of employment and law and order and said that the NDA government has strengthened roads, electricity, gas and digital connectivity in Bihar.
Priyanka Gandhi’s answer: Not the current, but the public will defeat ego.
Priyanka Gandhi directly targeted PM Modi from the Katihar rally. He said, “The Prime Minister shows fear in every election – sometimes Current, sometimes Katta, sometimes Jungle Raj. The question is, where will the employment be in 10 years? Why are the youth running away? Bihar is asking. Answer.” Priyanka alleged that the Center and the NDA government are weakening democracy. He even took the names of three Election Commission officials and said, “Vote theft has been made a system. This is an insult to democracy.”
Amit Shah vs Tejashwi: Battle of narratives in Seemanchal
In Seemanchal, Amit Shah said, “If those who protect infiltrators rule, the future of Bihar will be in danger. NDA will keep Seemanchal safe.” Tejashwi Yadav responded to this in the Nawada meeting, “Scare in the name of infiltration, show off your career, this will not work now. The boy from Bihar wants a job. If the government changes, every youth will get a job message on his mobile.”
Propaganda has stopped, now the ball is in the public’s court
In the second phase, voting will be held on 87 seats in 24 districts. All the parties conducted road shows, street meetings and social media campaigns till the last moment today. The question is whether the narrative of Jungle Raj will work? Or will the issue of jobs and unemployment outweigh? This decision is now completely in the hands of the public.
