Katie Price breaks silence on latest Pride cancellation as she faces scathing backlash

Katie Price has responded after she was slammed for a last-minute cancellation at another Pride event. The former glamour model, 47, was booked to perform at a fundraising afterparty for Milton Keynes Pride Festival.

However, she has been slammed over her “lack of accountability and professionalism” in a scathing statement on social media. Katie was publicly scolded by MK Pride as they confirmed the event will still go ahead despite the mum-of-five no longer making an appearance.

“Milton Keynes Pride Festival is a not-for-profit organisation,” they said. “The official afterparty was booked and promoted as a fundraising event, with Katie Price contracted as the headline performer.

“Despite repeated attempts of contact to fulfil this agreement, her management has confirmed she will not be honouring her booking. This decision was made at short notice and is entirely outside of our control.

“As a Pride organisation, we are committed to transparency. For context, much has already been reported in the media about Ms Price’s approach to her professional commitments.

“While our community has consistently supported her, it is deeply regrettable that this support has not been reciprocated. Choosing not to meet her obligations to a charitable Pride event demonstrates a lack of accountability and professionalism, and we share in the community’s disappointment.”

In response to their social media post, Katie’s representative told the Mirror : “Katie is disappointed not to be appearing at the Milton Keynes Pride afterparty due to unforeseen filming commitments.

“She has great respect for Pride events and the LGBTQ+ community and wishes Milton Keynes Pride every success with their celebrations.”

MK Pride said they were working on a replacement for Katie. “The afterparty will still proceed as planned at Pink Punters and we are currently working on a replacement for Katie Price,” the statement added.

“Please allow some time for us to do this, and an announcement will follow shortly.” They explained while the Pride event is free to attend, people can refund their tickets.

They concluded: “Despite this situation being entirely outside of our control, Milton Keynes Pride remains, as always, fully committed to delivering an inclusive, safe, and unforgettable celebration for our community.”

In July, Katie pulled out of Glasgow Pride due to “another urgent obligation.” She was set to appear alongside headliners Miriana Conte, Subwoolfer, Kelly Llorenna and Karen Dunbar at the bash.

However, she decided against making the trip to Scotland for an undisclosed reason. Organisers said at the time: “Unfortunately, Katie Price is not able to attend Glasgow’s Pride 2025 due to another urgent obligation.”

Fans were not impressed and took to the comments section of the post to share their dismay. One wrote: “Oh I’m not going now, Katie price isn’t there,” as a second questioned: “Is Katie price not going anymore??”

A third attendee slammed the reasoning as they posted: “Urgent obligation’ what a load of bs,” while another social media user quipped: “WHERE IS MS PRICE GONE?”

The move came just weeks after Katie and her close friend and former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona pulled out of another event when they were due to headline Barnsley Pride. “We sincerely apologise to all our visitors who are looking forward to joining us for our Barnsley Pride 2025 events,” a statement said at the time.
