Senior dietitian Surbhi Pareek says that after breaking the fast, women eat more food which causes acidity. But if you take some household items along with food, then stomach problems can be avoided. For example, after eating, you eat some celery. Or take lemon juice mixed with food. Or if you want, drink cinnamon and ginger water. This will help in preventing acidity.

Fennel water – Alkaline properties are found in fennel, which helps in providing relief from acidity by reducing the extra acid in the stomach. Besides, the compound called anethole present in it improves digestion and reduces swelling and gas. You can consume fennel water, tea or even chew it.

Consumption of ginger- It is effective in providing relief from acidity. Anti-inflammatory properties are found in it which is helpful in reducing stomach irritation and inflammation. In case of acidity, you can eat ginger tea or chew its piece.

Cinnamon is also effective – This is also considered very effective in providing relief from acidity. You can consume it in the form of tea. Or you can make powder and take it with honey.
