Kartik Aaryan undergoes successful knee surgery after injury on film set, to resume shoot soon

Kartik Aaryan is currently recovering after undergoing knee surgery in MumbaiThe actor was injured while shooting an action sequence for one of his upcoming films and was admitted to a Mumbai hospital for treatmentHis surgery has now been completed successfully, and he is expected to return to work after recovering.

According to a statement from Kartik’s spokesperson, the actor sustained the injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. “Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his filmHis surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recoveringHe will be back on set soon,” his spokesperson said.

 

Kartik reportedly suffered the injury while shooting for his upcoming collaboration with director Kabir KhanA source close to the production told India Today, “Kartik was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital and is under medical careThe doctors will perform his knee surgery in a day, after which he will have to rest for a few daysHe should then be able to resume his work commitments.”

This is not the first time Kartik has suffered a knee injury during a film shootHe had earlier injured his knee while shooting for his 2023 film Shehzada.

Kartik Aaryan’s National Award win

While Kartik is currently taking time off to recover, the actor has had a significant year professionallyIn July, he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance as India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in Chandu ChampionThe biographical sports drama was directed by Kabir Khan.

After recovering from his knee surgery, Kartik is expected to resume shooting for his untitled film with Kabir KhanHe will also complete the remaining portions of Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic drama, in which he stars opposite Sreeleela.
